Middle School students are exposed to a wealth of reading in classic literature, through authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, and William Shakespeare, and enjoy grappling with more complex mathematical and scientific concepts. They also begin the study of Latin and French, and participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities.
Students in our Middle School, 6-8th grades, scored in the 95th percentile, as a school average, on the 2024 Iowa Basic Test of Skills. This test assesses student performance in reading, spelling, grammar, and mathematics. Our results by Grade and Subject can be read here: 2024 Iowa Basics Overview.
In our Middle School (TAMS Program of Studies) the foundations of Western Civilization and American Heritage are stressed. A deepening appreciation for the spiritual and moral teachings of the Church also evolves throughout the higher grades.
